The current politically charged environment offers plenty of opportunity to become increasing concerned about the future. Martin Luther once said, “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” I feel that this quote embodies an attitude toward charitable giving that is its essence. It is the proactive stance that stands in opposition to the reactive focus so many people embody. We have the ability to increase our influence over more that we realize, if we just become more opportunity focused and less problem obsessed. Charitable organizations exist to provide this avenue toward a more meaningful life experience.
