One of the benefits of working in wealth management for 50 years has been the impact clients have made on the causes and organizations that they care about. Most have shared time, talents, and treasure resulting in improving the state of the world in various ways. Also, many clients have made bequests that will benefit untold numbers of people into the future. In many cases, these acts of kindness have also been structured to benefit the persons and families that have entered into this type of gifting and have resulted in larger gifts than would otherwise have occurred. I can’t think of too many better ways to spend a professional career.
