I suggest that you look in your donor data base. See if you can identify those seniors who have been consistent donors and have now reduced their annual giving. I have encountered donors in this situation, who concerned with their late in life financial situation, are now quite willing to donate time and talent as a substitute to the treasure that they have been providing to the organizations and causes that they care about. This effort may also result in introducing planned giving as a possible solution to the donor’s concern and also bolster the future needs of the charity. Let me know if you would like more clarification about this idea.
